Ring Road Line 8 - Pink Line (Delhi Metro) - Netflix
The Pink Line (पिंक लाइन) is a line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. It comes under the Delhi Metro Phase III network. It consists of 38 metro stations from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar, both in North Delhi. Upon completion, the Pink Line with a length of 58.59 kilometres (36.41 mi), will be the longest line in Delhi Metro, breaking the record set by the operational Blue Line. It will be mostly elevated and will cover Delhi in an almost 'U' shaped pattern. The Pink Line is also known as the Ring Road Line, as the entire line passes alongside the busy Ring Road in Delhi, that witnesses massive traffic jams everyday. The Pink line has planned interchanges with most of the operational lines of the network such as the Yellow, Red, Blue, Orange Line and Violet lines, as well as with Hazrat Nizamuddin and Anand Vihar Terminal (Indian Railways) and the ISBTs at Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan. The Pink Line will have highest point of Delhi Metro at Dhaula Kuan with a height of 23.6 metres, passing over the Dhaula Kuan grade separator flyovers and the Airport Express Line. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) commenced trial runs on the 6.5 km elevated stretch between Shakurpur and Mayapuri stations of the Pink line on 22 June 2017. Progress of civil works up to December 2017 is 95.36%. The line is planned to be opened in stages by June 2018 (except Trilokpuri to Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 section due to land issue at the former). The section between Majlis Park to Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus has become operational from 14 March 2018 and the sections Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus To Lajpat Nagar & Shiv Vihar To IP Extension will be open to public by July 2018. However, Lajpat Nagar To Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 will be open to public by September 2018.
