The Winner Is... is a talent program on television of the commercial broadcaster SBS, which began in early 2012. The program was devised by John de Mol, and is produced by his media company Talpa Productions. Even before the first broadcast of Dutch version the format was sold to Germany, where Linda de Mol, the program will present. Also, other foreign broadcasters, including CBS, have already shown their interest to the producer.
The program title was announced in the summer of 2011 without any publication of the contents. It would, according to John de Mol, one of the new hit titles must be SBS, the station De Mol since 2012 has a minority interest. In autumn 2011 the tender was opened and presented in the format. During the announcement of the format were the so-called "vakjurylid" which will take place next grads public jury and presenter not been made public. Later, SBS announced that Beau van Erven Thorns program would be present, and Jeroen van der Boom would take place in the jury.

“The Winner Takes It All” was a major success for ABBA, hitting #1 in Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the United Kingdom. It reached the Top 5 in Austria, Finland, France, West Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Zimbabwe, while peaking in the Top 10 in Australia, Canada, Italy, Spain and the United States (where it became ABBA's fourth and final American Top 10 hit, peaking at #8; the song spent 26 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, more than any other ABBA single). It was also the group's second Billboard Adult Contemporary #1 (after “Fernando”). “The Winner Takes It All” was also a hit in Brazil: it was included on the soundtrack of “Coração Alado” (“Winged Heart”), a popular soap opera in 1980, as the main theme. The track was listed as the 23rd most popular single on the US Billboard year-end chart for 1981. The song is also featured in the ABBA-based musical and film, Mamma Mia! where it is performed by Meryl Streep.
